Deputy Minister Mahinda Jayasinghe says that he has never stated that he is doing politics by travelling bus or train. He fuerter to said that he never said that he does not want anything that the people do not have.
He challenges to show if there is any such reference in his policy manifesto.
He points out that the rulers who have ruled the country for the past 76 years have not built a country where politics can be done by riding a bus, train or bicycle.
He also said that if a country had been built where trains and buses run on time, they could have been used to do political activities.
He further said that the government has had to purchase new vehicles since the government vehicles are very old and dilapidated vehicles.
He said this while participating in a program on Independent Television.
