Opposition MP Chamara Sampath Dassanayake said in Parliament that a daughter of a minister who is pursuing higher education in the UK is currently staying at a house belonging to a member of the Tamil diaspora.
“We do not blame ministers for associating with diaspora members. But it must be accepted that government ministers associate with diaspora members. We do not want to disrupt the celebration of the Victory Day of the war victory, but this cannot be left unsaid,” the MP said.
Further giving details regarding the Bribery or Corruption Commission, the MP made a number of allegations to the commission and said that an officer of the Commission for the Investigation of Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) is playing the role of an executive.
Referring to the death of former SriLankan Airlines CEO Kapila Chandrasena, he said that there is a song called ‘Ellalada Maruwe Maralada Elluwe’.
