Police have reportedly shot at a lorry transporting cattle illegally in the Kattakaduwa area of Hungama.
Based on information received by the Hungama Police OIC regarding a lorry transporting cattle illegally, a roadblock was set up in the Kattakaduwa area this morning (20). The lorry fled the scene, ignoring police orders.
Police officers who chased the lorry tried to stop it, but it continued to drive unabated, so they had to shoot at it, police sources said. Four suspects in the lorry have been arrested by the police and further investigations are underway.
