Russia and Ukraine agree to three-day ceasefire .

US President Donald Trump says there will be a three-day ceasefire in the war between Russia and Ukraine. In a post on his Truth Social yesterday, the US leader said the ceasefire will last from Saturday (today) to Monday.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also posted on his X account that a three-day ceasefire has been organized as part of US efforts to end the more than four-year-old war.

Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov also confirmed the news. “We reached an agreement on this matter during our telephone conversations with the US administration,” he said.

The agreement came after a recent telephone conversation between President Vladimir Putin and Trump, in which the two presidents “stressed that our countries were allies in World War II,” he said.
