Several people has been arrested for verbally abusing several police officers on duty for the Kandy Temple of the Tooth Perahera and obstructing the officers in their duties.
Police stated that this person verbally abused the police officers on duty in front of the main entrance to the temple grounds yesterday (23) morning.
Accordingly, the suspect in question has been arrested and further legal action will be taken against the suspect, the police added.
