The People’s Joint Opposition says that it did not organize the protest held in front of the Bar Association headquarters in Colombo, demanding the resignation of the President of the Bar Association of Sri Lanka.
Issuing a statement today (24), the association emphasizes that no opposition MP or party was involved in this ‘low-key act’.
The statement states that organizing such low-key acts that increase public displeasure further confirms that the government does not have the public’s approval.
The People’s Joint Opposition, which urges the public not to be fooled by such ‘childish acts’ of the government, emphasizes that it has no connection with the protest in question.
