ICC not to intervene in Suryavanshi’s provocative behavior.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) is reportedly not going to intervene in the disciplinary action regarding the incident in which Indian batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi scolded Sri Lankan bowler Kugadas Mathulan at the end of the India-Sri Lanka tri-series match held in Dambulla last Monday.

Sri Lanka Cricket internal sources say that this situation has arisen since this tournament is not being conducted under the auspices of the International Cricket Council (ICC). Accordingly, the final decision on punishment will be left to the representatives of the relevant cricket governing bodies and the tournament officials, the sources say.

However, it is reported that punishment has been recommended for Sri Lanka A player Vishen Halambage and India A batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi in relation to the heated exchange of words that took place during the match.

Accordingly, the match referee’s report has recommended a fine of 50% of the match fees of both of them. The report has been forwarded to the relevant cricket authorities in Sri Lanka and India for further action.
