6268 premises with dengue larvae found in three days .

The National Dengue Control Unit says that 6,268 premises with dengue mosquito larvae were identified during the special dengue control program that began on the 8th.

This program, which lasted for three days, covered 72 Medical Officer of Health divisions in 14 districts and 97,871 premises were inspected. Out of these, dengue mosquito larvae were identified in 6,268 premises.

According to the report released by the National Dengue Control Unit today (11), 25,626 or 26.2 percent of the premises inspected were identified as high-risk premises where dengue mosquitoes could breed. Dengue mosquito larvae have also been confirmed in 6,268 premises or 6.4%.

The highest percentage of dengue mosquito larvae has been reported in factories and construction sites, with mosquito larvae identified in 32.9% of the factory premises inspected and 21.8% of the construction sites.

89,417 houses have been inspected, of which 5,250 houses have been confirmed to have mosquito larvae.

Steps have been taken to clean 21,025 premises that were maintained as breeding grounds for mosquitoes, and 3,348 red notices containing legal advice have been issued. Furthermore, legal action has been taken against 2,401 premises owners who acted in disregard of health advice.
