The current government is unable to continue governing the country, says Venerable Ampitiye Sumanarathana Thero, the incumbent of the Batticaloa Mangalarama.
Although the current government came to power by claiming that what previous governments had done throughout history was false, the Thero said that the economy has collapsed today due to the Central Bank treasury fraud and the coal problem.
If the country goes into a deep depression like this, the people will have to face great difficulties, and in this situation, the leader of the All-Powerful Dilith Jayaweera can be considered a leader who can build the country in the next five years. Expressing further views, the Thero said the following.
“I belong to the Rajapaksa sect, but nowadays the Rajapaksa sect is also being pushed to a certain point. Therefore, if we expect a leader who can take over the country in the future, it is Mr. Dilith Jayaweera. This government cannot run this country like this for much longer. They took power by lying, what has happened today? They have also hurt the Central Bank, given a shot to the coal mines and have reached a point where each one is dying by cutting their veins, and if this continues, we too will have to die by cutting our veins.”
