A celebration was held at Welioya Estate in Hatton yesterday (09) to celebrate the victory of Thalapathy Vijay, who contested for the post of Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. This celebration was organized by a group of Thalapathy Vijay’s fans living in the plantation area.
In parallel with this celebration, Thalapathy Vijay’s fans also donated books to school children in the area.
Banners with Thalapathy Vijay’s photos were displayed at several places in the Northern Province before the Tamil Nadu state elections. However, despite winning a majority of seats as a single party, his party needs to win 10 more seats to gain power in the state assembly and become the Chief Minister. He has had to hold talks with minor parties to obtain that number of seats.
