The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy said today that it has seized two ships that violated maritime laws while passing through the Strait of Hormuz and brought them to Iranian territorial waters.
In an announcement, they said that the two ships, ‘MSC-Francesca’ and ‘Epaminodes’, were brought to Iranian territorial waters. Iranian sources said that the ‘MSC-Francesca’ is owned by Israel.
The ships in question were arrested on charges of operating without a license, tampering with navigation systems and attempting to secretly exit the strait, endangering maritime security.
