It is reported that 1,056 suspects were arrested by the police yesterday (14) during special police operations carried out across the island under the National Operation Nationwide.
This operation is being carried out with the aim of disrupting the supply of drugs across the island, minimizing the demand for drugs, expanding operations, rehabilitating addicts, and preventing drug abuse.
Accordingly, 1,065 raids were carried out yesterday and these suspects were arrested by the police.
During these operations, the police have taken steps to refer 39 suspects who had obtained detention orders and 53 other suspects to rehabilitation.
Furthermore, 331 grams of heroin, 1.173 grams of ice, 03.109 grams of cannabis, 52,165 cannabis plants, 332 hashish, 2,012 methamphetamine pills, 572 methamphetamine pills and 6.44 grams of marijuana were seized during these operations.
