The government has decided to move towards a public-private partnership model instead of reviving SriLankan Airlines while retaining full state ownership, Aviation Minister Anura Kumaratilleke said.
The Aviation Minister also stated that the government is focused on appointing a new Chairman and CEO for SriLankan Airlines as soon as possible.
Interviews for the appointment of the new CEO are already underway and several teams have already been evaluated for the purpose, he said.
He noted that SriLankan Airlines is currently operating without both a Chairman and a CEO.
