Market data confirms that the price of gold in the country has decreased by Rs. 10,000 today compared to yesterday (14).
Accordingly, the price of a pound of “22 carat” gold at the Hetti Street Gold Market in Colombo this morning (15) has dropped to Rs. 305,200. It was reported as Rs. 315,500 yesterday.
Meanwhile, the price of a pound of “24-carat” gold, which was Rs. 340,000 yesterday (14), has dropped to Rs. 330,000 today, according to sources at the Colombo Hetti Street Gold Market.
