The Sri Lanka hearing impaired cricket team participating in the tournament showed exceptional performance and managed to win by 6 wickets by defeating the strong Australian team yesterday.
Sri Lanka captain Gimandu Malcolm was awarded as the best player of the match.
The Australian team, who batted first in the match, managed to score 131 runs by losing 7 wickets in their 20 overs. Captain Milling David scored 34 points. In bowling, captain Gimandu Malcolm took 2 wickets for 13 runs.
The Sri Lankan team who played the reply innings scored 135 runs and lost 4 wickets in 17.3 overs to win the match. Dinuka Sachin 43, Gimandu Malcolm 33, Blythe Mitchell bowling 2 wickets for 32 runs.
