The Indian warship INS Kolkata has rescued 21 crew members of the ship ‘True Confidence’ which was targeted by Houthi rebels’ missile attack.
The spokesperson of the Sri Lanka Navy stated that two Sri Lankans were among the rescued people, and one of them was reported to have been injured in the attack. However, he says that it should be further confirmed whether Sri Lankans served on the ship ‘True Confidence’.
The incident took place on March 6. The Barbados-flagged MV True Confidence was attacked by a drone or missile about 55 nautical miles southwest of gulf of Aden. The attack caused a fire in the plane and several crew members were seriously injured as a result.
