A crocodile has grabbed a person who was swimming in Menik Ganga in Kataragama police area.
The police said that the accident happened yesterday morning (06) when the person was swimming near the 02 bridge in Menik Ganga.
The body has been recovered with the help of police lifeguards and wildlife officers.
The identity of the deceased has not been confirmed yet, and the police say that he is a person aged between 30 and 35 years.
The Kataragama Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
