Nuwara Eliya Police Chief Remanded for Helping in Murder of Physiotherapist

Nuwara Eliya Magistrate Buddhika Harshani Dharmadasa has ordered the remand of four suspects, including the main suspect, who were arrested in connection with the murder of a physiotherapist in the Nuwara Eliya area, until the 9th.

The Magistrate issued this order after the suspects were produced before the court today (26).

Accordingly, the main suspect, the suspect’s wife, the driver of the Kundasale Pradeshiya Sabha who supported the suspect, as well as the former OIC of the Nuwara Eliya Police, the Chief Inspector of Police, have been remanded.

The main suspect, the suspect’s wife and the Pradeshiya Sabha driver who supported the suspect were remanded until today and they were produced before the court today.

The magistrate also ordered that the main suspect’s child be remanded in custody in the custody of the mother.
