A Fundamental Rights Petition has been filed before the Supreme Court against the arrest and detention of former Chief of the State Intelligence Service, retired Major General Suresh Salle under the Prevention of Terrorism Act.
The petition has been filed by a retired officer of the Sri Lanka Air Force. The Minister of Defence and a group of others have been named as respondents in the petition.
