Acording to Nalin Hevage, a former provincial council member and a member of the National People’s power Executive Committee. asserts that President Ranil Wickremesinghe’s economic policy is causing the country to plummet into a deep economic crisis.
Hevage further warns that if President Wickremesinghe continues to govern the country in this manner for another year, it will be challenging to rebuild the nation, even if a Malimawe government assumes power. He adds that the National People’s power is not prepared to take control of the country under such circumstances.
Hevage emphasizes that, before the government can assume power, the people of the country must empower the compass.
