Bangladesh is about to change history.

It is reported that Bangladesh is making strong preparations for the two-match Test series against Sri Lanka starting today.

Bangladesh finished last in the 2021-2023 World Test Championship, winning only one of their 12 matches.

Before the first test match of the 2023-25 World Test Championship, Bangladesh coach Chandika Hathurusingha told journalists in Sylhet that “the hopes of his team have increased after winning the ODI series.

“If we can win a lot of matches at home, we will have a good chance to compete in the World Test Championship. This Test series is a good challenge for us. We are ready for it,” he added. However, he added that his team expects a tough challenge from Sri Lanka.

24 Test matches have been played between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Bangladesh has won only one of those matches. Coach Hathurusingha said that they’re ready to change that history.

Coach Chandika Hathurusingha said that Mushfiqur Rahim was out of the tournament due to a big toe injury and Shoriful Islam was rested because he bowled more wides. The second Test between the two teams is scheduled to start on March 30 in Chittagong.
