Another question paper is released early. The exam itself is canceled.

The final examination of the Grade 11 Sinhala Literature subject in schools in the North Central Province, where about 22,000 students are appearing, has been postponed due to several questions circulating on social media.

Several questions from the question paper that was scheduled to be held today have come into the hands of several teachers conducting tutoring classes before the exam and they have given them to their students, says North Central Provincial Education Secretary Sirimevan Dharmasena.

Accordingly, the distribution of exam question papers to 600 schools in 30 divisions of 08 education zones was stopped today. It is reported that the government has spent about Rs. 150,000 to print this question paper.

Anuradhapura Police are conducting investigations to identify those responsible for the leak of the question paper.
