A person who videotaped the residences of the IGP and the Chief Justice has been arrested.

It is reported that a person who filmed the road around the official residences of the IGP and the Chief Justice using a mobile phone was arrested by the Cinnamon Gardens Police last night (6).

An officer attached to the Special Task Force on duty at the main gate had seen a person arriving in a luxury car stop the car and take a video from the road near the official residence of the IGP.

After he informed the emergency call unit about this, a group of police officers on tour duty at the Cinnamon Gardens Police Station took steps to arrest the suspect.

When examining the mobile phone of the arrested suspect, it was found that the road around the IGP’s house as well as the official residence of the Chief Justice and the roads leading to them had been videotaped.

Police sources say that the suspect is a resident of the Alubomulla area and is scheduled to be produced before the court.
