This year’s Grade 5 Scholarship Examination is scheduled to begin today.
The examination will begin at 9.30 am today (09) at 2,723 examination centers across the island, according to a statement issued by the Department of Examinations.
220,366 Sinhala medium students and 73,723 Tamil medium students are appearing for the scholarship examination this year. Accordingly, the total number of students appearing for the examination this year is 294,089.
The Department of Examinations advises students to reach the centers one hour before the examination begins in order to maintain their mental concentration and face the examination with concentration.
The examination is scheduled to begin at 9.30 am, but all students should be seated in the examination hall by 9 am, said Commissioner General of Examinations A.K.S. Indika Kumari.
