The 22nd Amendment to the Constitution Bill is gazetted.

The 22nd Amendment to the Constitution Bill has been gazetted by order of the Minister of Justice and National Integration.

According to the said Bill, the retirement age of Supreme Court Judges is 67 years, and the retirement age of Court of Appeal Judges has also been revised to 65 years.

However, the gazette notification states that the date on which the Chief Justice is to retire is the date on which he attains the age of 67 years or the date on which a period of 6 years from the date on which he assumes the office of Chief Justice, whichever is earlier.
