A private bus has caught fire near the 64th kilometer post between Welipenna and Kurundugahahetamma on the Southern Expressway.
A Galle-Colombo passenger luxury bus caught fire this afternoon (19).
It is reported that there were about 20 passengers on the bus at the time. The police say that the fire broke out due to a sudden technical fault. The fire was extinguished by the fire services.
