The Ministry of Transport, Highways and Urban Development announced that 104 new metro buses are to be imported to the country in August to make the country’s public transport service more efficient, and the relevant agreement was signed today (18).
According to the agreement, these 104 modern buses are to be imported to the country by August 15th. Currently, new metro service yards are being constructed in areas such as Kadawatha and Ratmalana, focusing on the Western Province.
The aim of introducing metro buses is to add a new dimension to the country’s public transport.
