Banners supporting candidates contesting the Tamil Nadu state assembly elections to be held today have reportedly been displayed in several places in Jaffna.
Banners with the image of Naam Tamilar Kachchi chief coordinator Seeman had been put up at prominent places like the Jaffna Public Library and the District Secretariat since last evening, expressing support for him. In addition, campaign banners supporting TVK leader Vijay Chandrasekhar and the ruling DMK party were also displayed in several places in the North.
In the 2026 Tamil Nadu assembly elections, the ruling DMK, the opposition AIADMK, Naam Tamillar Katchi, and the Tamilaga Vetri Kasagam (TVK) led by actor Vijay are contesting.
