Residents say the death toll from the landslide that occurred in the Sarasavigama area of Peradeniya on Friday (28) due to inclement weather has reached 23.
14 bodies have been recovered so far and search operations are underway for the missing. 10 houses have been completely destroyed in the landslide, and relief workers say the death toll could be higher than expected.
