The electricity bill of 26 lakhs of Namal’s wedding has not been paid yet.

The Ceylon Electricity Board states that the outstanding amount for the electricity supply, security lights and generators provided by the Electricity Board to the Weerakatiya house for the wedding ceremony of Parliament member Namal Rajapaksa has not yet been paid.

The Electricity Board has stated this while responding to the request made by the former provincial council member of Janatha Vimukti Peramuna Naleen Hevage under the Freedom of Information Act. (The article is published below.)

Commenting on this, Member of Parliament Namal Rajapaksa says that the Ceylon Electricity Board has not yet informed him or his father to pay an outstanding electricity bill of 26 lakh rupees. He emphasized that it had paid all the bills due for the wedding ceremony

However, the MP says that he will ask the Ceylon Electricity Board in this regard.
