The Sri Lanka Professional Journalists Association expresses its protest against the assault and intimidation of two journalists of the Lake House Media Institute by the Media Advisor of the Presidential Media Unit, Chandana Suriyabandara, who were covering the ongoing non-violent ‘Ehipassiko’ Bhikku Peace March in the country.
The Sri Lanka Professional Journalists Association says that it is truly ironic that the Presidential Media Advisor is pressuring a journalist of the Lake House Institute, which is considered a state media institution, Buwaneka S. Perera, and another journalist of the same institution.
