The guaranteed prices at which the government will purchase paddy stocks for the Yala season were announced today by Trade Minister Wasantha Samarasinghe.
According to these prices, a kilo of Nadu paddy has been fixed at Rs. 120 and a kilo of Samba paddy at Rs. 130. The Minister stated that a kilo of Keeri Samba paddy has been fixed at Rs. 140.
