The Colombo High Court today (03) ordered that a case filed by the Bribery Commission against former Minister Wimal Weerawansa be called up for further hearing on the 22nd.
The order was issued when the case was called up before Colombo High Court Judge Mohamed Mihail today (03).
The judge, who considered the facts presented in this case regarding the acquisition of assets exceeding his legal income and exceeding his legal income while serving as a minister, ordered that the case be called up again for hearing on the 22nd and the judge also ordered that witnesses be summoned to appear before the court on that day.
The Bribery Commission filed this case against former Minister Wimal Weerawansa during the previous Yahapalana government.
