Investigations begin into the disappearance of Kudu Salindu’s case files.

It is reported that statements have been recorded from ten court employees, including seven female officers, regarding the disappearance of two case files filed at the Panadura Magistrate’s Court against organized criminal and drug trafficker Salindu Malsitha Gunaratne alias ‘Kudu Salindu’.

The Panadura Divisional Senior Superintendent of Police Nishan de Silva said that the investigations have been initiated following a complaint made to the Panadura South Headquarters Police on the 1st by the Registrar of the Panadura Magistrate’s Court regarding the disappearance of the case files.

Accordingly, the Panadura Divisional Criminal Investigation Bureau has conducted further investigations after reporting the facts to the court through a ‘B’ report.

What has gone missing is a case file related to a murder that occurred in Panadura North at the direction of Kudu Salindu and two files related to a case filed by the Criminal Investigation Department under the Money Laundering Act.
