Wasantha Mudali promises to drive the IMF out of Sri Lanka

Wasant Mudalige, the convener of the Inter-University Student Council, states that the biggest problem facing the country is the International Monetary Fund, and it is by no means a miracle. He further said that he is working to oust the International Monetary Fund the same way Gotabhaya Rajapaksa was ousted.

He points out that the government is getting a loan through the International Monetary Fund and the government’s proposed answer to the country’s debt crisis is borrowing.

He warned that the people of the country took to the streets on the 30th of March last year to oust Gotabhaya Rajapaksa and that such a history could happen again.

He said this while addressing a press conference held in Colombo.
