An elephant named Unicorn, which was located in the Minneriya National Park, has been shot dead, Environment Minister Dr. Dhammika Patabendi said in Parliament today (17).
The Environment Minister stated that the Unicorn elephant may have been shot by a group of people on the 15th and that the Forest Conservation Department is conducting a comprehensive investigation into the incident.
