The Colombo Magistrate’s Court has fined 1500 rupees each to two persons who were arrested while pasting the posters of National People’s Power presidential candidate Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
The two suspects who were arrested by the Kurunduwatta Police were brought before Colombo Chief Magistrate Mr. Thilina Gamage today (26) and after admitting their guilt, they were fined as follows.
The police mentioned that these two suspects were arrested while pasting posters of Anura Kumara Dissanayake in their police domain in violation of presidential election rules.
