US President Donald Trump has reportedly decided to suspend the tariff plan that was to be imposed against European nations that opposed his ambition to acquire Greenland.
The US President announced in a post on his ‘Truth’ social media account that he reached this decision after a productive discussion with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
Donald Trump says that a special plan was prepared for the future of Greenland and the entire Arctic region, and accordingly, the new 10% tariff that was to be imposed from February 1 will not be implemented.
He has also stated that even if the tariff is removed, additional discussions will continue regarding the ‘Golden Dome’ missile defense system.
