The total number of foreigners who visited the country in June this year was 138,241, a 9.9% drop compared to the previous June, the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority said.
In June, 43,423 Indian tourists arrived, accounting for 35% of the total.
Meanwhile, 10,474 tourists from the United Kingdom, 8,710 from Australia, 8,224 from China and 3,806 from the United States arrived in the country last month, the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority said.
145,745 tourists visited the country in May, taking the total number of tourists who have visited the country in the past few months this year to 1,146,573.
