It has been reported that three individuals, including the son of a former member of the Central Provincial Council, have been arrested on suspicion of stealing three luxury jeeps and a van from a car dealership in the Kengalla area of Theldeniya.
According to the Wattegama police, two stolen jeeps were discovered in the garage behind the house owned by the Member of Parliament in Pallegama Doragamuwa. It was revealed that these individuals were preparing to dismantle the jeeps in order to escape with them.
A gang of five robbers broke into a car dealership in the Kengalla area of Theldeniya early on the 29th of June. They tied up the employees and stole three Defender-type jeeps and a van, with an estimated value of around 12 crore rupees.
