The Road Development Authority has taken steps to close the Colombo-Kandy main road near Yakkala Ayurveda. It is reported that this decision has been taken due to the sinking of the middle section of the bridge near Yakkala Ayurveda.
Due to this, the road section between Yakkala and Thihariya has had to be closed for the time being and the public is advised to use alternative routes.
