Former President Maithripala Sirisena has been decided to be presented as the candidate of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party for the upcoming presidential election, the senior deputy president of the party, Rohana Lakshman Piyadasa told the media.
He mentioned that all the bodies of Sri Lanka Freedom Party Central Committee, Political Committee and All Ceylon Committee have unanimously approved that decision.
He further mentioned that if a general election comes, candidates will be presented under the leadership of former President Maithripala Sirisena.
