It is said that the Sri Lankan cricket team, which went to Zimbabwe to participate in the World Cup qualifiers, had to wait in the hotel lobby for more than three hours. Additionally, it has been reported that they were forced to share hotel rooms.
Commenting on the issue, the Sri Lanka Cricket Association stated that they stayed for a brief period to address the problem of securing proper accommodation in the hotel.
