Puttalam police have arrested a father and son in connection with the kidnapping of an air force women soldier.
It is said that a soldier and his father of the Chinese Bay Air Force Base have been arrested in connection with the incident.
Both of them are residents of Warakapola area.
It is said that the abduction took place when the soldier in question was coming to work at Palavia Air Force Base on a motorcycle.
The father and son have been arrested according to a complaint made by a person working at Palavia Air Force Base that his wife has been kidnapped by some group.
The abducted air force women soldier escaped and explained the incident to the Puttalam police.
There, she has stated that she was riding a motorcycle, crossed the road with a car, grabbed a handkerchief on her face and took her unconscious to the deserted house.
However, it is stated that she had further said that she escaped from it herself.
Further investigations are underway by the police regarding the incident.
