It is reported that the total number of employees in the public sector has decreased by 2.9 percent in the year 2023 compared to the year 2022.
By the end of last year (2023), the total number of employees employed in the public sector is said to be 1,353,860.
Temporarily halting new recruitments, reducing creation of new posts and retirements have led to a reduction in the number of employees employed in the public sector in the year 2023.
The report also states that the limitation imposed by the government in terms of reducing the government expenditure has been the main reason for the decrease in the utilization of the number of employees.
