The Election Commission has suspended the decision taken to remove the Managing Director of the Port Authority and appoint someone else in his place.
This step has been taken considering a complaint made to the Election Commission regarding the decision taken by the Minister in charge on 02.10.2024.
The National Election Commission has informed the Secretary of the concerned Ministry to cancel the appointment immediately and provide a report within three days.
