Suresh Salle leaves National Hospital .

Former Chief of the State Intelligence Service Major General (Retd) Suresh Salle, who was admitted to the Colombo National Hospital due to an illness while in custody by the Criminal Investigation Department, has been discharged from the hospital.

After leaving the hospital, he has returned to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and is being detained there.

Former Chief of the State Intelligence Service Major General Suresh was arrested in Peliyagoda on February 25 in connection with the Easter Sunday bombings. Subsequently, while being interrogated at the Criminal Investigation Department on a 90-day detention order, he was admitted to the National Hospital due to a sudden unresponsiveness.

Meanwhile, it was reported that family members had requested permission to visit him to check on his condition, but permission was not granted.
