The Padukka Siri Piyarathana College Under-17 team has advanced to the last 16 of the Under-17 Inter-Schools Division II Cricket Tournament organized by the Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association with the sponsorship of Sri Lanka Cricket.
They defeated St. John’s College Panadura by 23 runs in a match held at the St. John’s College Stadium, Panadura on the 21st and advanced to the next round.
Kulunu Tashmika, who has been showing exceptional performance in the Under-17 category this year, was able to show an all-round performance in this match as well. The team’s opener and bowler, he scored 92 runs in 102 balls in this match as well, and also managed to take three wickets while bowling.
