The Atomic Energy Regulatory Council states that Sri Lanka is ready to face a radioactive situation caused by a nuclear attack in the region. The officials of that council say that they have the necessary human resources and equipment for that.
They mentioned this when the Sectoral Monitoring Committee on Energy and Transport met under the chairmanship of Member of Parliament Nalaka Bandara Kottagoda.
