Special security for Parliament tomorrow. Media reporting is limited to the Rupawahini Corporation.

President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and Leader of the Communist Party of Vietnam To Lam is scheduled to address Parliament tomorrow (08). The Speaker informed Parliament today (07) that special security arrangements will be implemented in and around the Parliament complex for this diplomatic occasion.

The Speaker said that the Parliament building will be strictly inspected from today under the special security plan.

Accordingly, the entire building complex, including the MPs’ rest rooms and wardrobes, will be inspected by special security forces, and the identified high-security zones will be inspected again by tomorrow morning, the Speaker informed.

The Speaker requested all MPs to come with a private driver as much as possible when visiting Parliament tomorrow and to refrain from accompanying guests. It was also announced that a special service will be provided for MPs who drive their own vehicles.

In addition, only a cameraman from the Sri Lanka Television Corporation has been granted permission to film in the chamber for media coverage purposes.
